This procedure is used for severely damaged skin. A high-energy beam of laser light vaporizes the water in the top layers of skin which rejuvenates sun-damaged, discolored, wrinkled skin. The CO2 laser does not burn off the skin. The laser must be done at least 4 months after the facelift.
